Wolfdog Ambassador Neriah

About Neriah

Name Meaning: “lamp of God”   |   Name Origin: Hebrew   |   Nickname: Rye Rye   |   Height at Shoulder: 32″   |   Weight: 65 lbs   |   Content: High

Neriah is one of our two ambassador wolfdogs here at the sanctuary. We got Neriah and her brother Kumara in June of 2022 for the soul purpose to do educational work. They come from The Wolf Crossing, which is one of the most reputable, respected and renowned wolfdog breeders in the nation.  Neriah’s family line has been selectively bred for many years specifically to do ambassador/educational work. Because of this, Neriah’s lineage is known for producing animals that are highly social and workable.

From the moment we brought Neriah home, she has wanted nothing but for everyone to love her. She seeks out attention from all the other wolfdogs, and nothing makes her happier than when we have guests up to the sanctuary for tours. She loves meeting new people and will flop on her back for belly rubs almost immediately upon meeting them. All she wants to do is give kisses to everyone she meets. She is an exuberant bundle of love that shows people the joy and emotional depth and capacity of both wolves and wolfdogs.

Neriah is the silliest girl we have ever had. She’s an absolute stunner on the outside and just a complete goof on the inside. She’s also an acrobat. You can sit back and watch this girl fly through the woods at what seems like 50mph, do an 8 foot vertical jump from a standstill and flop her body over itself by doing summersaults…yes this wolfdog does summersaults! :p She’s also known to come up behind us when we are sitting on the ground, wrap her arms around our necks, lean around and give us kisses on our cheeks.

We are so proud of this beautiful girl and know that she will help to make a big difference in the awareness that is brought to society about the importance of preserving her wild brothers and sisters as well as helping to teach about responsible wolfdog ownership.
